Alexandros Giannoulas, Chief Accounting Officer

Alexandros Giannoulas has served as OET’s Chief Accounting Officer since its inception in 2018 and brings a wealth of experience to his role. From 2005 until June 2018, Mr. Giannoulas held the position of the Head of Accounting Department of Kyklades Maritime Corporation. With a strong background in auditing, he previously served as an auditor at Grant Thornton from 2000 to 2005 and as an internal auditor at KATHIMERINI S.A., a company listed on the Athens Stock Exchange, from 2011 to 2015. Mr. Giannoulas holds a degree in Economics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Thalia Kalafati, Treasurer

Thalia Kalafati has served as the Treasurer of OET since September 2018, having also served as its first CFO and successfully guiding the Company through its listing on the Euronext Growth (ex-Merkur Market) in July 2018. She brings over forty years of experience and a successful track record as a finance professional. Mrs. Kalafati previously held the position of Finance Director of Kyklades Maritime Corporation since 1992. Prior to her tenure at Kyklades Maritime Corporation, she served as a senior executive at Barclays Bank Plc, in the shipping sector from 1981 to 1992. She holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from Surrey University.

Michalis Moraitakis, Bunkers & Special Projects Manager

Michalis Moraitakis serves as OET’s Bunkers & Special Projects Manager. Mr Moraitakis is a finance and business professional with a solid background in the maritime industry. He previously held the position of Financial Controller at Kyklades Maritime, and has experience in financial modeling, budgeting, strategic decision making, and auditing. He holds a M.Sc. in Shipping, Trade & Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly known as Cass Business School) of City University in London, and is ACCA qualified.
